QJs for Flood Relief
Railroad Development Corporation’s (RDC’s) 2 QJ-type steam locomotives will operate on the Iowa Interstate Railroad (IAIS) October 18-19, 2008. All proceeds from the events will benefit the Salvation Army’s efforts to assist communities through its territory impacted by June’s flooding.

AT&SF no. 3751 to San Diego - again.
It appears that the successful June 1, 2008 excursion to San Diego has cleared the way for another trip. As part of the American Association of Private Rail Car Owners (AAPRCO) convention in San Pedro, on September 21 no. 3751 will haul the ‘inbound convention special’ from Los Angeles to San Diego and return. After arriving back in Los Angeles, the cars will be forwarded to San Pedro.
