Out of service since 2002, and beneficiary of a thorough overhaul, C&TS K27 2-8-2 463 returns to Antonito, Colorado:
It’s scheduled to return to service as the power on a May 15 special train. You’ll find details in the Schedules.
VA Museum of Transportation assumes full ownership of N&W 611, 1218

The City of Roanoke, VA has transferred ownership of N&W 4-8-4 611 and 2-6-6-4 1218 to the Virginia Museum of Transportation.
The proclamation was made on the Museum’s 50th Birthday at a press conference in Roanoke, VA. Roanoke Mayor David Bowers delivered the news. Members of Roanoke’s City Council, special guests, Museum board, members and volunteers were on hand to cheer the announcement.
